SAMBA, Dec 26: Vijaypur police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband items from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Vijaypur Police Station accompanied by sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) laid a naka near Rahya Morh and arrested two drug peddlers along with two grams heroin.
The arrested persons have been identified as Neeraj, son of Gurpal of Ward Number 13 Samba and Pankaj Kumar, son of Chet Ram of Chak Manga Samba.
A case under FIR Number 166/17 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
Meanwhile, acting on the information of DSB Vijaypur, a team from Vijaypur Police Station arrested a drug peddler from Thandi Khuie area and recovered 50 grams cannabis and 80 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Som Dutt alias Bunty, son of Tilak Raj, a resident of Sarore.
A case under FIR Number 167/17 under Section 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation of the case is going on.
Police teams headed by SHO Vijaypur Inspector Suraj Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Abisheik Sharma and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
