LOS ANGELES, Jan 24: Golden Globe-winning film, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” will get a limited theatrical release in China on March 2.
Written and directed by Martin McDonagh, the movie will be released in China by the country’s National Alliance of Arthouse Cinemas (NAAC), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The NAAC’s objective is to increase the diversity in the content that is showcased in Chinese theatres and to educate local audiences.
Huaxia Distribution will oversee the film’s distribution, working in tandem with Fox Searchlight and the NAAC.
The film, which won four Golden Globes including best drama, has nine BAFTAs and seven Academy Awards nominations.
“Three Billboards…” features Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell in key roles. (PTI)
