Three bootleggers held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Oct 2: Police today arrested three bootleggers and recovered 130 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gharota Police Station led by SHO Jatinder Samyal laid a naka and intercepted at Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK 20-1820.
During search, 80 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered and two bootleggers were arrested, who have been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Dharam Chand of Reasi and Lalu Kumar, son of Bansi lal of Katra.
A case under FIR number 86/13 and under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Gharota Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Bishnah police during a naka checking intercepted a scooter bearing registration number JK02AL-8484.
During checking, police recovered 80 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Amarjeet Singh alias Kaka, son of Pritam Singh of Deoli.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Narinder Singh made the arrest.
