SRINAGAR, Nov 24: The cadet, sub-junior and junior Sqay Championship 2024-25 concluded successfully today at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, marking the end of an exciting three-day event held from November 22 to 24, 2024.
The Championship witnessed enthusiastic participation of 500 players from across various districts.
DIG SKOR, Alok Avasthy was chief guest in the closing ceremony.
Shabir Ahmad Kullay, MLA Shopian, Nitesh Kumar 2 IC CRPF and Assistant Commander Shubham of 14 Battalion were guests of honour.
The Championship’s Overall Winner Trophy was lifted by Ganderbal district while Pulwama secured second position and Srinagar claimed the third place.
On this occasion, two World Champions, Mir Arsalan Mehraj and Disha Pandith from J&K were felicitated by DIG, Alok Avasthy for their outstanding achievements in 4th World Sqay Championship at Tashkent Uzbekistan inspiring the next generation of players.
Furthermore, Grandmaster of Sqay, Nazir Ahmad Mir, motivated the players.
