Three fresh cases of Dengue

JAMMU, Oct 29: Three more people were today tested positive for Dengue virus taking the total number of patients affected with the vector-borne disease in Jammu region to 119.
According Dr BS Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu, a total of 29 tests were conducted today for Dengue out of which three turned out to be positive. He said out of the three infected persons two are adults (both female) and one child (male).
Giving more details, Dr Pathania, said that out of three Dengue infected persons two belong to Jammu district while one belongs to Samba district.
He further disclosed that till today the department conducted 701 tests for Dengue out of which 119 were found to be positive for Dengue virus.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
