Three injured in building collapse

JAMMU, Nov 21: Three people of a family were injured today when an old structure of a factory collapsed in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, some portion of the roof of a commercial building collapsed this morning in Kabir Colony, Talab Tillo. The building was housing a walnut factory and it was under renovation, he added.
“Three persons of a family living adjoining the building were injured in the collapse as the debris of the collapsed roof fell into their residential premises,” the official said, adding condition of one of them identified as Priyanka wife of Surinder Kumar was serious and she was taken to a private hospital outside J&K.
“Other two namely Surinder Kumar son of Jeet Raj and Banti Devi wife of Sewa Ram got minor injuries and they were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment,” he further added.
