Three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, July 5: Three persons were injured today in two separate road accidents occurred in city outskirts.
According to a police official, a speeding Army vehicle hit a scooty and injured its rider grievously at Jhajjar Kotli near Punjabi Haveli.
He said the injured scooty rider namely Rajinder Singh (40) son of Sukhdev Singh, resident of Khanpur Bhawan (Jammu) was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in.
“In this connection, Jhajjar Kotli police has registered a case and started investigation,” he added.
Meanwhile, he said, that two persons were injured when two two-wheelers collided with each other at Kunjwani Chowk. The injured were identified as Baldev Raj (75) son of Nanak Chand, resident of Chatha and his wife Sheela Devi (65).
“The injured persons have been shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment while Gangyal police has registered a case in this connection and started investigation,” he added.
