JAMMU, Apr 8: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta along with JMC Commissioner, Avny Lavasa here today felicitated sanitation teams led by Sanitation Officers and Sanitary Inspectors of Wards 19, 61 and 56 for rendering best services in solid waste management and sanitation in their allotted Wards for the year 2020-2021.
These teams also put their best efforts to generate more revenue as compared to the previous year.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that JMC is creating awareness among common masses for proper disposal of garbage at designated dustbins placed for the same and he also added that for creating awareness Nukkad Natak, ‘Polythene Lao, Thaela Pao’ is being staged so that everybody should know how to dispose the garbage properly.
The JMC Commissioner said, to aware citizens with respect to solid waste management and sanitation and make them part of the same, JMC is organizing campaigns so that Jammu city can become a clean and green city.
Others present on this occasion were Narindar Singh, Chairman, Public Health & Sanitation Standing Committee; JMC Joint Commissioner (A), Sudhir Bali; Secretary JMC/Nodal Officer SBM, Tinna Mahajan; Health Officer, Dr. Sanjogita Sudan and Deputy Director Planning, Sandeep Kumar Sharma while the event was conducted by the IEC partners (AIILSG) of JMC and it ended with vote of thanks by the Secretary JMC.
