KATHUA, Dec 15: Police today rescued three milch animals, while the smuggler managed to flee from the spot.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Rajbagh Police Station laid a naka at Manyari. On seeing, police personnel, Moju, son of Faquir of Manyari, Tehsil Hiranager fled from the spot, leaving behind three bovine animals, which he was carrying towards neighbouring State Punjab on foot.
A case under FIR number 246/12 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and manhunt was launched to arrest the absconding bovine smuggler.
