Three nabbed in attempted murder case; weapons, vehicle used in crime recovered

JAMMU, Dec 10: In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police have apprehended three individuals involved in an attempted murder case reported in the Kanachak area.
The case originated from a complaint lodged on December 5, at Police Station Kanachak by Ajay Kumar, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Pandorian in Jammu North. Kumar alleged that he was brutally attacked by three individuals who used a toka (a sharp weapon) and a lathi (wooden stick) during the assault, leaving him with severe injuries. He was subsequently admitted to GMC Jammu for medical treatment.
The accused have been identified as Paramjeet Singh alias Pamma, son of Sohan Singh, resident of Pandorian; Joginder Lal alias Jinder, son of Lakshman Dass, resident of Pandorian and Balvinder Kumar alias Balu, son of Charan Dass, resident of Bhour Camp, Chatha (Jammu).
Following the registration of FIR Number 187/24 under Sections 126(2), 351(2), 109, 3(5) BNS, and 4/25 of the Arms Act in Police Station Kanachak, a specialized team of officers conducted multiple raids. Their efforts led to the arrest of all three accused.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime. Based on their disclosure, the weapons used in the assault—a toka and a lathi—were recovered. Additionally, the vehicle used during the crime, a Safari SUV bearing registration number JK02AR0024, was seized.
The case remains under active investigation as police work to gather more evidence and determine the motive behind the attack.
