JAMMU, July 10: Three players of Jammu and Kashmir have been selected for the Master National Classic and Equipped Powerlifting Championship. The National Powerlifting Championship is scheduled to be held in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh from July 12 to 16.
All Jammu and Kashmir Power Lifting Association said that the players have been selected on the basis of their recent performance in Jammu and Kashmir Power Lifting Championship.
The players who were selected for the Championship were Sapna Jain (47 kg weight category), Shallinder Singh 93 kg weight category) and Umesh Raina (105 kg weight category); all the players have represented State and Nation in national and international events before.
Meanwhile, Ankur Sharma, President Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal flagged off the three member team for the national championship.
