Three thieves arrested with stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh

JAMMU, Feb 15: Domana Police arrested three thieves and recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh.
As per police sources, On October 2 last year, a complaint was lodged by Sarista Devi, wife of Sandeep Kumar of Takku chak with Police Station Domana stating that some unidentified persons entered into her house and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 288/2020 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at and Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Domana rounded up several suspects and finally arrested three persons involved in the aforesaid case.
The arrested persons were identified as Anil alias Choor Chitu, son of Prem Singh and Sonu Singh alias Kaku, son of Sobha Ram, both residents of Ransoo District Reasi and Sandeep Singh alias Shipu, son of Ashok Singh of Pallanwala Tehsil Khour District Jammu.
On their disclosure, stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
