Time for Introspection

Sir,
In the recently held Assembly elections in the country BJP has lost in all five states. One cannot rule out that during these four years we did not come across allegations of corruption at a higher place. We were really disappointed after Bofors, 2G Spectrums, Commonwealth games and other corruption cases. There are many more to complete the list. The bottomline is atleast a corruption free era. On the infrastructure front we received foreign investments in railways, roads shipping and also in other programmes. Google has for the first time included whole of Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh in its Maps. Again an achievement for the Govt in the Centre. Prices of essential commodities remained balanced and many commodities remained under control.
More and more drugs have been brought under essential drug list and under price control which makes them affordable. The image of the country has taken a “U” turn. Demonetisation and the GST were the major decisions taken by the BJP Govt in the country. These two major decision benefitted us in the form of reduction in black money and improvement in the economy. Now BJP has lost in five States and the Party needs to introspect and analyse the issues so that correct measures are taken in hand both at the bottom level and apex. Transparency and accountability in the administration needs to be expedited in the interests of the people to restore confidence among the cadres of the party.
