JAMMU, Dec 9: Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony celebrated its Annual Cum Sports Day Function in the School premises, here today.
The chief guest for the day was Vijaya Dogra Katoch, MoS Women State Corporation J&K and the guests of honour for the day were Rajinder Manhas and Major Yogendra Gaur.
Students of the school welcomed the guests with showers of rose petals.
Earlier, Gurpreet Handa, Director of the Tiny Tots Group of Schools presented the welcome address.
The chief guest declared the meet open by lighting the Torch which was carried around the field by the Head Boy of the School, Danish Iqbal Dev.
This was followed by the Guard of Honour presented by the contingents of different houses led by the Captains Body of the School.
The students of Kindergarten completed their round of marching waving the tricolor as they marched filling the atmosphere with excitement and expectation of the coming events.
This was followed by a yoga demonstration by the senior students of the School, showcasing a blend of yoga with modern day rhythmic movements.
The finals of various athletic events including the sprints, the long distance races, long jump and fun races for the junior classes were held during the day.
The drills both senior and junior were a sight of coordination among the students and the aerobics drill by the seniors was like icing on the cake.
Students performed their aerobic exercises in a beautifully coordinated manner making a map of India on the playfield while performing their exercises.
The Shiv Tandav Strotam was beautifully present by the senior students enlivening the atmosphere with the mesmerizing dance and the chants and was equally well complemented by the beautifully performed Kalbeliya dance.
