Tiny Tots School celebrates Annual cum Sports Day

JAMMU, Dec 22: Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School celebrated Annual cum Sports Day function in the school ground at Sainik Colony here today.
The guests of honour for the day were Prof (Dr) Sindhu Kapoor Deputy Director SCERT, Jammu Division, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu, the alumni of the school. Colonel Yogendra Gaur of the Indian Army and Sandeep Seth, Chief Engineer PDD were also the guests of honour for the day.
Principal, Dr Vikram Handa presented the annual report of the school, Chairperson, Veena Handa along with the Director of the School Gurpreet Handa and the guests of honour declared the meet open by lighting the torch which was carried around the field by the Sports captain of the School, Shakeel Ahmed.
The finals of various Athletic events including the sprints, the long distance races, and long jump and fun races for the junior classes were held while senior teachers including Kiran, Neerja, Suman, Simmi, Rupinder and Monika were awarded for their diligence and hard work.
Dr Daud Iqbal appreciated the students for their hard work. He also invited the students of the school to visit the sports complex of the University of Jammu.
Colonel Yogendra Gaur motivated the students to always be self motivated and leave their egos aside during their student hood. He praised the students for the display of their talents and urged the students to join the forces. Prof Sindhu Kapoor in her address to the students reminisced about the years that she spent as a student at Tiny Tots and paid tributes to Late Kulbushan Handa. She urged the student to keep working hard and keep trying to achieve their full potential and impressed upon the parent to encourage and support the students to take part in as many co-curricular activities as possible as these activities imbibe life skills in the students. Veena Handa, Chairperson of Tiny Tots Group of Schools lauded the efforts of the students and the staff members for putting up a fabulous performance.
Towards the end some fun races were organized both for the staff and the parents. The best contingent trophy was won by the junior peace house.
