DODA, May 9: A driver got killed, when the tipper he was driving fell into a deep gorge near Kenchi Nallah in tehsil Gandoh.
The ill-fated vehicle was on its way from Khara to Gandoh, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into 700 feet deep gorge near Kenchi Nallah, resulting into on the spot death of driver.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot, retrieved the body of the deceased and shifted the same to hospital, where after completing legal formalities, it was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The deceased has been identified as Shah Din Malik, son of Abdul Rashid Malik of Tilogra, tehsil Gandoh, district Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
