JAMMU, Aug 28: IIM Jammu is organizing 2-day HR Conclave from August 30.
Addressing a press conference here today, Prof BS Sahay, Director IIM Jammu, said that the conclave is aimed at bringing top HR professionals of the country to discuss and deliberate the future of HR while fostering practitioner-oriented learning amongst the future leaders of the country studying at IIM Jammu.
Speaking about the conclave, Prof Sahay mentioned that the conclave centers around the implications on human resource management due to the advent of the fourth industrial revolution popularly referred as Industry 4.0. He said that in an era where production is driven by technology, automation, and interconnectivity, it is imperative for HR to evolve with the ever changing industrial landscape.
“The central theme for the conclave is HR 4.0 – Discovering The HR Landscape 2030. The idea is to envision the HR landscape a decade from now. Industry stalwarts will interact with future leaders to enlighten them about the incoming future,” he added.
He informed that Chief Human Resource Officers, HR Directors and Heads from over 50 esteemed organizations like PwC, Capgemini, Samsung, Reliance Industries Limited, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Nature’s Basket Limited – Godrej Group, Nissan Digital, Aditya Birla Group, Benteler Automotive India Private Limited, etc will grace the occasion.
“The discussions during the conclave will be around seven sub-themes and will feature fourteen power packed panel discussion sessions. The conclave is expected to have in attendance over 200 students, faculty and staff members of IIM Jammu, corporate leaders and delegates from academia and other local institutions,” Prof Sahay told reporters.
Prof Sahay said that the HR Conclave is an amalgamation of Industry and Academia, giving them a common platform to rediscover the paradigms that will define the future of the world economy.
He said that the aim of the conclave is to understand the intricacies of Industry 4.0 and its impact on HR, elaborate on HR 4.0 concepts as applications for the industry, discuss the technological implications of HR 4.0 on HR processes and discuss the ergonomical implication of HR 4.0 on the workplace.
