It was tough a day in office for top seeds in men’s and women’s singles as both Karunuday Singh and Rishika Sunkara advanced to the quarter-finals of the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship here today.
Men’s and women’s defending champions Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash and Prerna Bhambri both registered easy victories in their second-round matches. Mohit, seeded third in the tournament, got the better of Saurav Sukul 6-2 6-1 while Prerna also registered a comfortable 6-1 6-1 win over T Palani Vale.(PTI)
