BASOHLI, Apr 30: A tractor driver was killed while his helper was seriously injured after the vehicle turned turtle when the driver was negotiating a sharp curve at Channkr this afternoon.
The 735 model tractor carrying Bajri was on its way from Basohli to Channkr. According to a police spokesman after the tractor reached the Channkr More it turned turtle while driver tried to negotiate a sharp curve and fell into a 25 feet deep gorge.
The driver of the tractor identified as Mohammed Rafi of Basohli was killed on spot while his helper identified as Hans Raj also of Basohli was injured. He has been admitted in S D H Basohli for treatment.
The body of the driver was handed over to his family members after postmortem. The Basohli Police has registered a case under Section 279/304.
