JAMMU, May 1: Representatives from different trade and industry bodies today called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and Industry and Commerce Minister, Chander Prakash.
Legislators, Sat Sharma and Rajesh Gupta were also present on the occasion.
The representative from different trade and industry bodies highlighted their grievances and issues before the dignitaries. Main issues included construction of lake at Tawi, completion of renovation of Mubarak Mandi Complex, ISBT Bus Stand, construction of multi storey parking and giving boost to tourism etc.
Issues concerning trade like VAT, issues of Ware House, congestion in various markets of City were also highlighted. Industry representatives also raised their problems like regular electricity supply, expansion of industrial Zone, mega industry in Jammu etc.
Dr. Nirmal Singh gave a patient hearing and explained to them in detail about various efforts being put in place to bring transparency in governance.
Speaking on the occasion, Industry Minister assured the gathering that they respect the mandate given to them by the people of Jammu and that he will spare no efforts in mitigating the problems of the industrialists.
