Traders Federation demands Degree College in Hajin, holds protest

SRINAGAR, Jan 18: The Traders Federation of Hajin area of Bandipora district while demanding a Degree College for the area held a protest at Main Market Hajin.
The protesters led by President, Traders Federation, Mushtaq Ahmad Parray assembled at Main Market Hajin and took out a protest rally. The protesters while carrying placards displaying ‘College Hamara Haq Hai’ and ‘Hajin Ko College Doh’, raised slogans in favor of the college.
The President Traders Federation told Excelsior that college is their right and the announcement of new colleges by Mehbooba Mufti led Government has brought new hopes on their faces.
“We have been neglected by the successive rulers but this time we hope that the area will get the college which we are craving since four decades. We hope the justice will be done and the college will be established in the area,” he said, adding, “the Higher Secondary School Hajin was established in 1962 and since then no up gradation was made to this institution.”
He further added that they have appealed Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to establish a college in the area so that the future generation will get benefit from this.
