JAMMU, Oct 29: One-day training workshop was organized today by Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing (RGCN) Jammu in collaboration with Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) India and Department of Health and Medical Education at auditorium of the RGCN, for tutors and MSc Nursing students of Government and private nursing colleges of Jammu district.
The training programme was inaugurated by Dr Yashpal Sharma (National president, AHA India and Director Coordination Medical Colleges). The inaugural function was attended by Dr Arun Sharma (Regional secretary, AHA Jammu Chapter), Anjana Bavouria (Director, Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing), Abhimanyu Katoch (MD, Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing), Dr Renu Sharma (Principal, Government Nursing College, Udhampur), Dr Sunita Goyal Puri (member, executive committee, AHA Jammu Chapter), Sadiq Khan (Mass Education Information Officer) besides faculty of Nursing colleges.
In the day long training programme, six sessions were covered. The first session on “Challenges in Management Clinical Services, Accidents and Emergency Services, Operation Theater” was conducted by Sonia Nanda (AP RGCN) and moderated by Dr Arun Sharma (MS MCH). The 2nd session on ‘Ethical & Legal related to Nursing Management’ was conducted by Gurginder Kour (AP RGCN) and moderated by Dr Sunita Goyal Puri.
The 3rd session on ‘Skilled Based Methods of Teaching and Learning & Bridging the Theory and Clinical Gap’ was conducted by Jyoti Kapoor (Tutor NC Ganagyal) and moderated by Sadiq Khan (MMO) while 4th session on ‘HR & Conflict Management’ was conducted by Abilasha Sharma (Tutor, NC Gangyal) and moderated by Dr Renu Sharma.
The 5th session on ‘Communication & Soft Skills’ was conducted by Vijay Rekha (Tutor, ANMT Gandhi Nagar) and moderated by Dr Sandeep Singh (Registrar, Paramedical Council Jammu) whereas 6th session on ‘Role of Nursing in prevention of Hospital Infection’ was conducted by Avinash Kumawat (AP RGCN Jammu) and moderated by Prof (Dr) A S Bhatia (Principal GMC Rajouri).
The valedictory function was chaired by Prof (Dr) AS Bhatia. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Insha Rehman (Tutor, RGCN Jammu).
