KATRA, Sept 18: “There is a need of creative inputs by one and all individuals to address the present issues erupting in the light of natural calamity in J&K”, with these words of Mr Abhay Kumar, Retd. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, the IFS officers were conditioned for the two days Training Workshop, ‘Individuals as Catalysts for Organization Excellence’.
The workshop has been sponsored by Ministry of Environment & Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and organized by Faculty of Management of SMVD University. This workshop is designed to promote the individual capabilities for the betterment of organization for further enhancement of problem handling proficiency in society. 19 IFS officers are participating in this workshop. Prof (Dr) D Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Management presented welcome address to the participants.
He emphasized on mutual cooperation and confidence for logically combating the relevant issues for present and future through this workshop.
Prof S K Jain, Vice Chancellor of SMVD University urged upon saving the forest land especially through population control.
He called upon the role of Forest Service Officers in creatively engaging towards the protection of environment.
Guest of honour, Abhay Kumar motivated the participants to evolve their individual capacity for the excellence of the society.
According to the organizers, there will be eight lecture sessions in this workshop to be delivered by the resource persons. The sessions include discussions and interactions on topics like organization excellence, conflict handling, decision making and creativity, collaboration and team work, workplace spirituality, performance management and interpersonal communication.
