BPL-3 Cricket tournament concludes

SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Trenz XI Zakoora beat Spartans XI Warrior and won title trophy of BPL-3 played at Burzhoam, here today.
Batting first, Spartans scored 146 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Shahrukh and Nadeem Dar took 2 wickets each for the Trendz-XI Zakoora whereas Trendz XI Zakoora chased the target in the last ball of the match. Shahid Bilal scored 43 runs and was declared as Man of the Match.
The winning team was awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs 3 lakh while the runner team was awarded wish cash prize of Rs 2 lakh.
Chairman PHAAH Citizens Welfare Forum, Dr Gh Mohammad Rather and Peer Bilal, a social activist distributed the trophies among the winners. While speaking at the concluding function, the speakers said the aim of the sporting event was to motivate and encourage the youth of the Valley to play and consider sports as a career path.
Locals applauded the efforts put forth by BPL organizing committee especially Muzaffar Ahmad for providing platform to the youth to exhibit their talent towards positive direction.
