Tri-Services Women Bike Rally reached Ramban

RAMBAN, July 22: A motorbike expedition to Ladakh by an all-women team of Tri-services commemorating the 24th Kargil Vijay Diwas reached Ramban today.
The Tri-Services all Women Motorcycle rally was given a heartwarming welcome by people of Ramban and students of different institutes whereas senior army officers were also present. The rally was composed of 25 exceptional women riders.
In its remarkable journey from Kargil War Memorial, New Delhi, the rally will traverse more than 3000 km till its destination and back. The statement said the event was significant for Ramban as the rally riders would stopover at Ramban and Banihal starting at the headquarters of the 11 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Chanderkote, and part of Delta Force under Northern Command.
The riders also met with senior officers here and after that the rally proceeded towards Kashmir valley after being flagged off by a senior army officer. As the rally progresses through Ramban and Banihal, it would bring together these bold women riders along with more than 100 girl students from various schools along the route especially Ramban and Banihal, fostering an interaction that will inspire and ignite the dreams of the future generation.
