JAMMU: The trial run of Peerkho-Mahamaya cable car project was conducted successfully here on Tuesday.
“We have successfully conducted the run between Peerkho-Mahamaya and during the four to five days trails, alignment of the cable car will be monitored,” Shamim Ahmed Wani, Managing Director, State Cable Car Corporation here told reporters.
He said that initially two cabins have been introduced during the trial run from Peerkho to Mahaamaya and vice versa adding, “in next few days, number of cabins will be increased to see how it behaves with the ropes.”
“Later a pre-commissioning run will be conducted, which will be monitored by the Government officials, engineers and other agencies before setting it into motion soon for commercial use,” said the MD. (AGENCIES)
