Tribute paid to Captain Tushar on his martyrdom day

UDHAMPUR, Feb 21: A large number of people from all walks of life today paid rich tribute to Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shurya Chakra) on his 7th death anniversary at Tushar Morh Udhampur.
A wreath laying ceremony was held at statue of the martyr at Tushar Morh in which Commanding Officer of 9 Para, Army jawans, family members and a large number of people from civil society paid floral tribute to brave heart Captain Tushar Mahajan.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of Tushar Memorial Trust and father of martyr Tushar Mahajan, Retd Lecturer Dev Raj Gupta said, “It is a matter of pride for my family that our son gave up his life for the nation”. He added that after martyrdom Tushar had left number of duties towards society and nation to complete which the Trust was doing by organizing several activities.
Members of Tushar Memorial Trust, Ranjit Parihar and Shewatketu Singh remember martyr Tushar Mahajan’s courage and valour and said that he was the epitome of true Indian soldier who does not mind sacrificing his life in the service of the nation. They reiterated their demand of renaming Udhampur Railway Station after Tushar.
Meanwhile, Dr Vikram Gulati, Principal of Happy Model School completed 77 kms cycle ride in the memory of Captain Tushar on his Martydom Day.
