Tributes paid to martyr Lt Sushil Khajuria

JAMMU, Oct 17: National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of Government MAM College organized a function in which rich floral tributes were paid to martyr Lt Sushil Khajuria, alumni of the College, who made supreme sacrifice of his life while fighting militants at Kupwara on September 28, 2011.
Parents and family member of the martyr were also present at the occasion.
A Guard of Honour was presented to the Commanding Officer, Sukhbir Singh Aslaa of 2 J&K Boys Bn, Vinay Sharma, SP South and also to the parents of the martyr.
Speaking on the occasion Commanding Officer Sukhbir Singh motivated the Cadets to join defense forces and highlighted the supreme sacrifice made by Lt. Sushil Khajuria who proved to be a true son of his motherland.
SP South, Vinay Sharma spoke on the importance of uniformed forces and their duties. He emphasized the collaborative approach of different uniformed forces towards service of the nation.
Earlier welcome address was presented by NCC Cadet, Charanjeet Singh.
Principal of the College, Dr. Nalini Pathania appreciated the efforts of NCC Cadets and ANO (Major Karan Singh in organizing such events, which provide inspiration and motivation to other students about the spirit of sacrifice in safeguarding the country.
On this occasion Lt. Cdr. Dr. Manohar Lal of Degree College Kathua was also honored with bouquet by Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul (Coordinator IQAC).
Dr. Manir Hussain, Prof. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Dr. Shahnawaz Parveen, Prof. Meenakshi Thakur, Prof. Kouhal Kiran Thacker, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Joginder Singh, Prof. Parshotam Thakur were also present on the occasion.
The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Karan Singh Bhau, Associate NCC Officer.
