Trikuta College organizes symposium

JAMMU, Mar 17: NSS Unit of Trikuta Degree College, Nardani, Bantalab organized a symposium on the topic, ‘Female Foeticide is the Biggest Sin’ during a 5-day camp, commencing here from today.
The camp aims at organizing series of lectures on important issues which include ‘Women Empowerment’, ‘Protection of Environment’, ‘Awareness of Consumer Rights’, ‘Disaster Management’, ‘Sanitation’ and ‘First Aid’ etc.
The purpose of the symposium was to know the views of the young participants for thorough discussion of the topic and go into the philosophy of the things as to what forces one to commit such a sin.
Dr RL Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the winners of first three positions including Sumeshwar Singh, Kajal and Shine Ghai respectively. Teachers Sunita and Shiveta also spoke on the occasion.
PK Koul, Principal of the College presided over the function, while students Sunakshi and Raymon conducted proceedings of the programme.
Dr Deepika Sharma, Programme Officer presented the vote of thanks.
