SRINAGAR, Mar 11: The Al Khudam Truck Union Naginder, Khrew in Pulwama district of South Kashmir have demanded that the trucks belonging to Union be permitted for carrying cement as it is the only source of earning for majority of the people in the area.
In a statement issued here, today the Union said that the cement factories are spread all over in the Khrew area due to which the people have lost their all resources as the emission of cement factories added to the pollution effecting the farming to a great extent.
This forced the people to purchase trucks to earn their bread and butter.
The Union said that another truck Union in the area which is in league with the authorities is however not allowing the trucks of the Al Khadam to operate as the Union has increased its influence on cement factories.
The Union said that its trucks are forced to work under Saffron Truck Union which is not acceptable to it.
The Union turning the attention of authorities towards the demand has sought immediate intervention.
