JAMMU, May 14: Mata Ragnya Bagwati (Kheer Bhawani) Asthapan Trust, Logripora, Anantnag has expressed surprise over the exclusion of the name of the famous shrine of Logripora from the advertisement issued by Relief Commissioner Jammu for visiting of yatris to the holy shrine on the occasion of Jeshtashtami falling on June 20.
The Trustees of the Asthapan urged the concerned authorities to correct the mistake as Kheer Bhawani Logripora is one of the sacred shrines of Kashmir where devotees used to visit in large numbers to pay obeisance to Mata on Jesht Ashtami every year.
The meeting was attended by Manesh Bhat, Sudesh Bhat, Shuban Ji Bhat, Kuljeet Koul, Sandesh Bhat and Sanjay Bhat.
The meeting was informed that this year also yatra will be taken to holy shrine from Jammu and it will leave on June 18 from here and return from the holy shrine on June 21 after participating in the annual mela on June 20.
The Trust has also decided to send an advance party to ensure that the arrangements are in place before the arrival of pilgrims.
The meeting said that the State Government has been already approached in this regard and urged to provide all basic amenities like fabricated sheds, water proof tents, bathrooms, water and electricity supply besides ration and fire wood. The Relief Commissioner has also been asked to provide transport from Jammu to the Asthapan complex Logripora on June 18 and for return from there on June 21.
