JAMMU, Aug 18: Aiming at promoting the sport of speedball in the State and outside, the TS Public School, Jammu will be sponsoring 3 speedball players and their coach to represent the State in All India Junior Speedball Championship, to be held at Palampur in Himachal Pradesh from August 23 to August 27, 2012, under the aegis of Speedball Federation of India.
According to a handout issued here, the winners in this championship will have to proceed for Egypt for the World Speedball Championship.
The sponsored students of the School included Rhea Tikku of IIIVth Class, Pranay Gupta of VIth Class and Jasdeep Singh of IVth Class. The coach of the team is Sunny Nanda.
The decision with regard to sponsoring of the players was taken by the principal of TS Public School, Pooja Malhotra.
