Great initiative by Governor’s Administration: Ajay Sharma

JAMMU, May 30: The renovated and newly established Table Tennis Hall at Indoor Complex MA Stadium is the best Table Tennis facility in North India.
This was stated by Ajay Sharma, Joint Secretary, Table Tennis Federation of India and Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association, in an exclusive chat with EXCELSIOR today.
He said the Hall has been renovated with an estimated cost of Rs 18 lakh to cater to the needs of thousands of paddlers of the State.
He gave credit of developing this top class facility to the Governor, Satya Pal Malik and his Advisors, especially K Vijay Kumar, besides Chief Secretary and the Secretary State Sports Council.
He said that the renovation of the Hall was made in just one month and 15 days-courtesy, keen interest shown by Secretary State Sports Council, Dr Naseem Javaid Choudhary.
“The Hall has a length of 75 feet and breadth of 45 feet with a changing room inside it. It possesses a galaxy of standard LED lights, 4 International standard Tables, besides four AC’s and Exhaust Fans each,” said Mr Sharma.
The players including State Junior Champion Hanumat lavished praise on the State Government for raising standard infrastructural facilities in the State.
They said that this facility will help the State to produce International stuff, besides catering to the needs of young paddlers.
“The State of Jammu and Kashmir which is striving hard to carve a space on the country’s sports map, is leaving no stone unturned under the Governor’s Administration in raising infrastructural facilities in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir,” expressed the players.
They also appreciated the contribution of Divisional Sports Officer j&k State Sports Council, Jammu, Ravi Singh and Manager Indoor Complex Jammu, Satish Gupta for speedy renovation work of the Hall.
