JAMMU, Oct 3: Experienced Sumesh Turki will lock horns with artistic Vishal Abrol in the summit clash of the Senior Snooker event at Billiards Hall in MA Stadium, here.
The 22nd Jammu District Open Junior and Senior Billiards and Snooker Championship 2012-13 is being organized by the J&K billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA).
Earlier, in the first semifinal Sumesh Turki outplayed Kuldeep Sharma 4-1 by (50-15, 66-52, 17-59, 66-50, 59-58). Sumesh won the first two frames easily, but lost the third one with a big margin. However, he came back strongly to win the next two frames in a close contest.
Meanwhile, in other semifinal match played today, Vishal Abrol got better of equally strong Ishan Chowdhary 4-3 in a well contested match by (20-56, 60-23, 34-54, 67-56, 38-69,61-23, 48-30).
According to organizers, the matches in the Junior Billiards category would start from tomorrow morning, while Senior Billiards matches would be held from October 5, 2012.
