TV ads to continue till media does not show AAP good work: Kejriwal

NEW DELHI, July 17:
Defending the television advertisements issued by the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said the advertisements would continue till the media does not show the good work done by his Government.
“If TV channels start running the good deeds of our Government, then we will immediately shut this publicity budget. A Government needs to publicise its work,” Mr Keriwal said in an interview.
Talking to the TV channel, Mr Kejriwal said his Government doubled the allocation for education in the Budget but all the media reported was that prices on all items had been increased. So, we had to put up hoardings to tell people that education budget has been doubled, Mr Kejriwal said.
Mr Kejriwal said there was unnecessary fuss being made about the Rs 526 crore spend on advertisements.
The amount of Rs 526 crore is just 1 per cent of the total budget of the Delhi Government. In any case the High Court rejected the PIL on the Government ads and ruled that the ads were ok, Mr Kejriwal said. (PTI)
