JAMMU, Mar 8: Nagrota and Arnia Police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, during checking a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK08B-7477.
During search, 52 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from him from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested driver was identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Gandnarav Singh of Panjgrain Nagrota.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj and assisted by PSI Pankaj Katoch under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh arrested a man along with 30 bottles of illicit liquor and 80 litres of lahan.
The arrested person was identified as Daler Singh, son of Gurcharan, a resident of Kalyana, Tehsil RS Pura.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Nagrota and Arnia and investigation started.
