JAMMU, Aug 16: Two persons including a young girl today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to police sources, an 18-year-old girl (18) daughter of Ajit Singh, a resident of Sangrampur, today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Similarly, one Farman Ali (26) son of Alla Rakha, a resident of Khara Madana falling under the limits of police station Parmandal also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. He was immediately shifted to GMCH by the family members.
The condition of both the persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
