JAMMU, Oct 23: In separate incidents, two women today allegedly made abortive attempts on their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, Rimpy Bhagat (27) wife of Raman Tenaja, resident of Ward No 5 (RS Pura) today consumed some poisonous substance at her residence following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
Similarly, another woman namely Ruksana Begum (30) wife of Ishtiaq Ahmed, resident of Doda, at present residing near Eidgah on Residency Road, also tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance. She was also shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
