JAMMU, July 7: Two persons including a woman tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Shubhum (22) son of Tulsi Ram, a resident of Lucknow (at present Bakshi Nagar), allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his temporary residence at Bakshi Nagar following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.
Meanwhile, a woman namely Richa (25) wife of Sunny, a resident of Buta Nagar (Roop Nagar), also allegedly made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence. She was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
