JAMMU, June 12: A two-day tech fest “Nirvikalpa-2K15” commenced today at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), a prestigious technical institution of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), amid creative fervor and exuberance.
The tech fest is aimed to explore and develop talents and skills among budding engineers.
The chief guest of the function was Prof Keshav Sharma, Controller of Examinations, University of Jammu. Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI and Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI were also present on the occasion.
Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET, presented the welcome address.
The chief guest in his illuminating speech exhorted upon the budding engineers to channelize their youthful energies and time in the right direction and make the most of the opportunities which come their way to enhance learning and achieve excellence. He asserted that right attitude and a never say die approach pave the way for professional growth.
The students from 11 technical institutions from J&K and outside rubbed their shoulders with strong contenders in different events. The technical events were dotted with innovations and sublime creative impact.
On the first day, the gala function witnessed 11 events out of around 30 events spreading across two days. The event witnessed a huge gathering of exuberant participants, distinguished guests, dignitary scholars, leading lights from the industries, sponsors and media partners.
The Tech Fest events were divided into three categories–Abhivyakti, Kotuhaal and Ekagra and each category having a string of events. Presently YCET is ahead of other teams in different competitions.
The vote of thanks was given by Rhea Mahajan, HoD, Computer Engineering.
