Two-day training programme for in-service teachers organized

JAMMU, May 19: Headquarter Northern Command (AWES) organized a two-day in service training programme for teachers on the theme ‘Improving Parent Teacher Communication’.
The participant schools were APS Udhampur, Akhnoor, Rakhmuthi, Nagrota, BBSVP and Government Middle School Roun Domail. The training programme was inaugurated in a lamp lighting ceremony by Principal, APS Dhar Road, Ramma Raina and the guest faculty, Dr Chand Trehan.
During the comprehensive training Programme, a complete over view of significance, ways to develop effective parent teacher communication were highlighted. Dr Chand Trehan emphasized on Emotional Intelligence and Sensitivity towards the students and parents.
Day two training programme was organized by Prof Sudhir Singh. He highlighted on the importance of linguistic skills and congruence between body language and verbal language. He suggested the trainees to contact the parents at the first sight of problem and begin with positive note while discussing the problem with the parent.
The theory session, activities and reflections fulfilled the creative urge and curiosities of the participants. The enthusiasm of the participants was simply exceptional.
