JAMMU, Oct 18: The two days medical camp organised by NHPC Sawalkote HE Project (1856 MW) was concluded here today.
The camp was inaugurated on 17th October by Dinabandhu Boral, GM (Civil) /HoP, Sawalkote HE Project in the presence of senior officials and project affected families and other locals.
Speaking on the occasion D. Boral said, “NHPC Ltd is set to commence the developmental activities at Sawalkote Project. The free medical camp is part of the welfare measure in the project area and such camps shall be arranged in the vicinity of project area, in future also for the well being of local residence who are really deprived of medical facilities.”
Dr. Kamal Zadoo, CMO, Ramban also visited the Camp and appreciated the initiative taken by NHPC for the well being of far flung village areas.
Dr. Rakesh Ranjan (CMO, NHPC), Dr. Karam Vir Hans (DCMO, NHPC), Dr. Adil Irshad, Dr. Ankula Manhas, Dr. Neha Bharti and Dr. Rubia (Medical Officer), Batote, Ramban and Para Medical Staff of NHPC and Govt. Medical Division, examined 462 local residents in the free medical camp.
During the camp doctors and the medical team provided necessary health consultations and medicines free of cost.
The medical consultants also provided the facility of blood pressure / blood sugar level checkups.
