Two days long athletic championship concludes

POONCH, June 20: Two days long athletic championship organized by district athletic association at Government Boys Higher Secondary School concluded here.
In U-14 boys 100 meters, Jaspreet Singh, Asif Nawaz and Wahied Ahmed claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Gagan Deep Singh, Mohammd Imran and Maqsood Ahmed secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 400 meters, Maqsood Ahmed, Zahid Ahmed and Manoj Kumar claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 600 meters, Zahid Ahmed, Jaspreet Singh and Maqsood Ahmed secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In U-16 boys (100 meters), Ramneet Singh, Zahid Mir and Asif Nawaz claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters Ramneet Singh, Arjan Singh and Akran Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In 400 meters, Raman Deep Singh, Simran Singh and Shaied Iqbal claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 1000 meters, Simran Jet Singh, Zaffar Iqbal and Addul Rehman bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Long Jump, Zaffar Iqbal, Maqsood Ahmed and Jaspreet Singh claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In above 18 (100 meters), Yaar Mohammad, Imran Ahmed and Tafal Hussain claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters, Yaar Mohammad, Irfan Mehmood and Gurpreet Singh secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 400 meters, Irfan Mehmood, Mehmood Ahmed and Mohammad Afzal claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 800 meters, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Alyas and Om Parkash secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 1500 meters, Sajjad Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed and Zahied Iqbal bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 5000 meters, Om Parkash, Gurpreet Singh and Shakeel Ahmed bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In High Jump, Mohammad Afzal, Abdul Rehman and Wahied Qureshi claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Discus Throw, Wahid Qureshi, Abnav Sharma and Mohammad Farooq secured first, second and third positions respectively.
On the valedictory function, incharge District Youth Services and Sports Officer was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of general secretary of the Association Ravinder Singh.
The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh, Matinder Pal Singh, Wahid Ahmed and Abid Hussain.
