JAMMU, Jan 15: Two days youth conclave on “Entrepreneurship and Employability Skills” organized by Kawa College of Education in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development commenced today.
The programme started with the traditional ceremony of lamp lighting followed by the general overview by Dr Anita Bali, Principal, Kawa College.
The programme was inaugurated by Jugal Kishore, MLC and former PWD Minister of State, who while speaking disclosed the present mindset of the students and the need of changing it in order to develop and grow in coming days.
Chairman of the college Er MS Katoch enlightened the advantages of an entrepreneur which he insisted is the need of the hour. Katoch statistically elaborated on the present market status and guided the participants about the opportunities available in the present market.
Further the event was continued with the Technical Session I chaired by the very qualified resource person Dr NS Gupta that described the basic quality of an Entrepreneur and its basic instinct. Technical Session II was chaired by another intellectual resource person Abhimanyu Dev Singh Billawaria, an entrepreneur and educationist by profession, who while speaking targeted very vital and important areas required for an entrepreneur and importance of training for employment in any area or sector.
Around 100 students participated in first day of the event which included students from Women College Parade and Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Chak Balwal.
Among others present were Abhimanyu Katoch, MD Kawa Group, Anjana Bavouria, CEO Kawa Group, Johny Kutty Joseph, Principal Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Madhu Sharma, Vishal Dogra, Karam Chand, MP Singh, Ruby Khajuria, Silky Sharma, Geeta Devi, Sunaina Raj and Suneel Goswami.
