JAMMU, Mar 13: Border Police Post (BPP) Baspur Bangla arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 50 kilograms of poppy straw from them.
As per police sources, a team from BPP Baspur Bangla led by SI Yash Paul during patrolling along with the Army in the Choga area of Police Station RS Pura intercepted a load carrier bearing registration number JK02BQ 2901.
During checking, police recovered 50 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Umer Ahmad Khan, son of Feroz Khan of Newa Khanpora, Pulwama and Shakeel Ahmed, son of Abdullah Bhat of District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 37/19 under Section 8/15/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
