JAMMU, May 30: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 69 grams of heroin in Bus Stand area here, officials said.
Shabir Ahmed and Mohammad Shafi, both residents of Anantnag, were arrested with the consignment during an operation launched by SHO Bus Stand under the supervision of SP North today, they said.
Accordingly, the accused have been booked in case FIR number 27/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bus Stand and further investigation taken up.
In a statement, SP North said, “Our mission is to make Jammu a drug-free society. We will continue our relentless efforts to dismantle drug networks and bring offenders to justice.”
“We urge the public to support us in this mission by reporting any suspicious activity,” he said.
