Two held with charas

JAMMU, Aug 30: In continuation to its drive against drug trafficking, Jammu police today recovered 400 grams of Charas from two accused at village Ghaink.
“During naka checking near village Ghaink, a police team of police station Gharota rounded up two suspects namely Mohd Zahid Alaias Ganni son of Moh Amin of Masjid Mohalla (Baran, Bhalwal) and Darshan Lal alias Kangri son of Rattan Lal of Gharota who were travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK02BU-9558,” a police spokesperson said.
He said on search of the accused, 400 grams of Charas was recovered from their illegal possession and accordingly they were arrested and a case FIR Number 81/2021 under Section 8/20/29 of NDPS Act was registered against them at police station Gharota and accused got arrested. Further investigation in the case was started, he added.
The arrest and recovery was made by SHO police station Gharota Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial.
