JAMMU, June 23: On Olympic Day 2024, the spirit of sportsmanship and celebration echoed across the Hockey playfield in Simbal Camp, Jammu, as Hockey J&K and J&K Olympics Association came together with great enthusiasm.
The event commenced with players presenting a vibrant march past, setting the stage for two exhilarating exhibition hockey matches featuring junior and sub-junior teams, both men and women.
Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, President J&K Olympics Association was chief guest and Dushant Sharma, General Secretary was guest of honour on the occasion.
Members of JKOA including Vikas Gupta, Rajan Sharma, Sunil Mahajan, Ravinder Singh, Vinod Bhatia, Kuljeet Singh, and Amit Singh, Ravinder, North India Coordinator of Bhram Kumari along with associates added their presence to the celebration.
The festivities extended beyond Jammu as Hockey J&K spread the Olympic Day spirit to various districts of JKUT, including Poonch, Pulwama, Kathua, and Anantnag, with engaging exhibition matches.
