Two hurt in road accidents

JAMMU, July 27: Two persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
“A speeding truck hit a scooty and seriously injured its rider namely Sunita (45) wife of Shamsher Singh, resident of Sainik Colony, at Kunjwani Chowk,” a police official said. He said the injured woman was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where her condition was stated to be critical.
Another mishap occurred this evening at Vikram Chowk flyover where a motorbike was hit by an unknown vehicle, the official said. He said the bike rider namely Partap (28) son of Ram Charan, resident of Bahu Plaza, was injured in the mishap. “He was taken to GMCH Jammu for treatment,” the official added.
He said concerned police had taken cognizance in both cases.
