Two injured as ambulance hits bike

JAMMU, Aug 2: Two persons received serious injuries today when an ambulance hit a motorcycle at Maheshpura Chowk, Jammu.
“The injured were identified as Sahil (21) son of Kamal Kishore, resident of lane number 5, Shakti Nagar and Nikhil (22) son of Ravinder Sharma, resident of Shiv Nagar, Jammu,” a police official said, adding they are undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu and their condition is stated to be critical.
According to the official, the victims were travelling on a bike when a speeding 108 ambulance (bearing registration number JK02BU-4628) driven by one Rohit Singh, hit their two-wheeler and hurt them badly. “In this connection, a case has been registered at police station Bakshi Nagar and further investigation initiated,” he added.
